PROM INFORMATION JUNIORS AND OUTSIDE GUESTS Prom will now be held on Saturday, APRIL 14th at Alexander's in Farmington. Juniors and outside guests may now sign-up and pay for their prom admission. Outside guest forms are available to be picked up from Mrs. M. Portell or the main office. The cost is $25 for juniors and outside guests which include PHS freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and students not enrolled in our school. Juniors who worked a football concession receive free admission. Juniors who worked 2 football concessions get themselves and a guest in free. Seniors receive free admission. The completed outside guest form and $25 payment must be turned in to Mrs. M. Portell by March 28. The outside guest form must be signed by Mrs. Schlosser or Mr. Gibson. You must pay the $25 fee when you turn the form in to Mrs. M. Portell.

TEEN LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE 2018 Saturday March 24, 8am-4pm The Journey Starts Here conference held at Grandview High School. Registration $25 due March 10th (scholarships available). PEER CLUB Please stop by Mrs. Fulton's room to pick up your permission slip for the field trip to Jefferson Barracks on March 28th. You will need to have 93% attendance. The cost of trip is $5 plus lunch if you don't want a sack lunch provided by the school.

FBLA MEMBERS There will be an FBLA meeting March 27 before or after school in Mrs. Portell's Room.

CHEERLEADING TRYOUT PACKETS High School Cheerleading Tryout packets are available in the High School office. Please return the completed packet by March 23rd. Clinics and tryouts will be March 26-28th.

AMBASSADOR MEETING Friday, 4/6 @ 7:30 and 3:00 there will be Ambassador meetings Mrs. Cordia's room. Every Ambassador needs to plan to attend one of the meetings.

FHCC BLOOD MOBILE DRIVE Any student at least 16 years of age who wants to donate blood Monday April 9th should sign up outside of Mrs. Haar's room. The drive will go from 9-2 and will take place on the blood mobile outside the science wing. Students should eat a good breakfast, be hydrated, have your license and parent permission slip (16 years old only). Please arrange your appointment according to when you ride the bus and Unitech!

SATURDAY SCHOOL We will have Saturday School this Saturday March 24th, for missing attendance. Attendees will need to be at the Common's Area BEFORE 8 am. Bring homework or a book to read. It is from 8am to 1pm. There is no lunch served.

COLOR GUARD TRYOUTS Guard tryouts are coming up April 16th-19th in the gymnasium. No experience required. We will teach you everything you need to know! Clinic will run from 3-5pm that Monday-Wednesday, then tryouts will start afterschool Thursday the 19th and continue until all have tried out. Returning members will be meeting afterschool Thursday, April 12th to prepare flags for tryouts.

TROJAN BASEBALL RESULTS Trojans defeated Festus 5-1! Great Job!

TENNIS RESULTS Boys Tennis defeated Cape Notre Dame 6-3!! Great Job!!

GOLF RESULTS Congratulations to the Potosi Varsity Golf Team for exceeding expectations last night in our first conference match. As a Team we shot a 195 and finished 2nd behind West County with a 182 and in front of 3rd place Ste. Genevieve with a 216. Individually Dalton Singer was the 1st place medalist posting a score of 40. 17 golfers competed in yesterday's match. Other Potosi golfers helping us break 200 were Peyton Larimore - 46, Wyatt Bust - 53 and Dominic Pickett and and Hadyen Gasten - 56. Blake Buckley came in at 64. 6 players play and the top 4 scores count. Next up for the Varsity Golf Team is the Cape Notre Dame Tournament next Monday at the Bent Creek Golf Club in Jackson, Missouri. Great Job Trojans! Coach Hector and Coach Singer

SENIOR LOCAL SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES Local scholarships are available online on the Potosi High School Website. Once on the PHS homepage go to Guidance then Scholarships then Local Scholarships.

SENIORS PLANNING COLLEGE VISITS please come by counseling office to get a form to be completed at least 3 days before the day you plan to visit. This form must be on file in the main office and signed by the attending school official before attendance is excused.

LOCAL SCHOLARSHIP DEADLINES Local Scholarship Deadlines are approaching. Make sure to check deadline dates for scholarships on the Potosi High School website under Counseling office/Guidance - Local Scholarships.

MAC CARDS DAY ORIENTATION - MANDATORY! Seniors, if you're planning on going to Mineral Area College, you have to attend one of several possible orientation days offered by MAC this Spring. Registration for these CARDS Orientation dates is NOW AVAILABLE. You register via your MyMAC account. The sooner you register, the sooner you can have orientation, the more available classes for an ideal schedule. Come see Mr. Portell for help registering!

COLLEGE REP VISIT We will be having a rep visit from SEMO on Monday, March 26th. If you're interested in a great public university that's a reasonable distance from home, come to Computer Lab 2 tomorrow during Trojan Time. Seniors that have been admitted should consider coming as well to follow up on future student processes!

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY FOR EDUCATION MAJORS Education Majors. There is a new local Scholarship available to anyone going into Education. The Shirley Goodson Memorial Scholarship application is available in the counselors office. The scholarship is for $500. Deadline to submit application is April 15th.

SCIENCE CLUB SCHOLARSHIP Science Club Scholarship applications are available in the counselors office. Deadline for Application submission is April 1st.

SENIOR SLIDE SHOW We are collecting photos for the end of the year senior slide show. Each member of the class of 2018 is limited to a maximum of 4 photos (all of which must be school appropriate). This year, we would ask students to send electronic copies to the e-mail address that will be provided to you by your Trojan Time instructor. If you want physical copies scanned, place them in an envelope with your name on that envelope so they can be returned. Give it to your Trojan Time instructor, who will deliver them to the correct individual. No photos will be accepted after May 1st.

SENIOR SIGNATURE T-SHIRTS Seniors, because of popular demand we are going to be allowed to make 2nd order for senior class signature T-shirts. The cost is still only $15. If you want one you need to see Mr. Kester immediately. We are not sure how long this window of opportunity will remain open. Don't wait!
