PROM INFORMATION Juniors planning to attend prom who did not work a football concession stand need to pay their $25 admission fee to Mrs. M. Portell by Wednesday, March 18. Seniors receive free admission to prom. Juniors or seniors planning to bring an outside guest, which includes underclassmen or individuals who do not attend PHS, need to complete an outside guest form. These are available in Mrs. M. Portell's office. Forms and the $25 admission fee should be turned in to Mrs. M. Portell by Wednesday, March 18.
FFA WEEK SPIRIT DAYS Spirit Days for FFA Week are the following: Monday: America Day, Tuesday: Blue and Gold FFA Day, Wednesday: Western Day, Thursday: Camouflage Day, Friday: Purple and Gold Day. On Tuesday, Students can bowl from 4-7pm at PBA Lanes for only $5.00. Wednesday, Breakfast served in the FFA room. Friday, Trivia Night at 6:00pm in the Round Room.
FHCC BLOOD DRIVE The blood mobile drive will be Friday, March 13th from 9:00 am- 2:00 pm. The sign up sheet will be outside Mrs. Haar's room. You must be at least 16 years old (parent permission required) to donate, have a photo id and healthy. See Mrs. Haar for any questions.
FHCC We will have a meeting this Friday either before or after school to discuss the SLU trip and to pass out Fundraiser forms!
SOFTBALL TRYOUTS Softball tryouts will be held after school on Monday and Tuesday (3/2 & 3/3) at the field weather permitting.
JUNIORS Attention Juniors, Any junior interested in taking the National ACT on April 4 for FREE needs to stop by the counseling office to pick up a fee waiver. Only juniors will be provided the ACT waiver. You must register for the April National ACT test date online at MyACT.org no later than March 13, 2020.
SENIOR SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY The rootEd Undergraduate Scholarship is a renewable scholarship awarded to graduates of certain rural high schools in Missouri, including Potosi. It is a need-based award of up to $10,000 per academic year and can be used for a maximum of 10 semesters, provided the student continues to meet eligibility requirements. Students must have a minimum 2.0 GPA and be planning to enroll in a four-year university to pursue a bachelor's degree. They must also have filed the FAFSA. The application is due April 15th and can be completed by visiting https://stlouisgraduates.academicworks.com/donors/rooted-alliance. SENIOR SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY The Women Legislators of Missouri Caucus created the senior scholarship program to provide financial assistance to students on the basis of leadership, academics and community service. Candidates must fill out an application and are required to submit a 500-word essay answering the question, “If you were a state legislator, what would you hope to accomplish and why?” A link to download the scholarship is located at https://www.myscholarshipcentral.org The submission deadline is Tuesday, March 31, 2020. The Women Legislators will announce the recipients on Monday, April 6th.
